The Elewana Collection has been awarded the contract to open a new luxury tented camp near the site of the old Loisaba Lodge. Building is underway and we hope to open in time for Christmas this year.

The camp will be made up of ten en-suite tents including two suites, & two family tents each with 2 ensuite bedrooms. The large tents & stylish Mess will  have a contemporary design with an organic feel to them,  looking across that famous, stunning 100 km view east to Mt Kenya. Two infinity swimming pools add to the luxury of the camp built on the same spot as the lodge which burn down in 2013.

The camp will embrace the tradition of fine dining, beautiful décor, five star service, professional guides and excellent game drives & walking safaris, all complete with a responsible tourism ethos. Additional activities such as horse riding, lion tracking, river rafting, camel trekking, fishing, mountain biking and massage will also be available. This 56,000 acre wildlife conservancy is also famous for its Elephant population as well as big cats and is also considered to be one of the best spots in East Africa to see the African Wild Dog.

Meanwhile, the Kiboko starbeds have undergone a refurb and upgrade to include 24 hr solar power, running water and a new entrance to each of the skybeds platforms and a new mess area. With 4 platforms of which one is a family  configuration, these are truly a must do for any trip to Kenya.

The new Loisaba Conservancy is a result of a substantial investment from The Nature Conservancy to guarantee the preservation of a critical eco system, sanctuary for elephants and important elephant corridor forever. This was the largest single conservation investment in east Africa in 2014 and was born from a partnership with The Nature Conservancy, The Northern Rangelands Trust and Space for Giants.
