Across every Elewana property, the guiding design philosophy is to exist in harmony with the surrounding landscape. Each lodge is thoughtfully crafted to reflect the character of its environment, blending seamlessly into nature rather than competing with it. Beautiful and intentional, the architecture celebrates the wild while allowing it to remain the true centre of the experience.

Structures are made of stone, canvas, wood and natural materials drawn from or closely matching the earth they sit on. The colour palette: sand, taupe, red earth, warm grey, echoes the soils and rock of each ecosystem. Elsa's Kopje is shaped around the granite of the rock itself. Elephant Pepper Camp is canvas and wood in the open bush. Kilindi Zanzibar sits in a landscape of coral rock, and the architecture holds those qualities rather than overriding them.

At Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, it helps safeguard one of Kenya's most important black rhino populations within a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is now home to more than 100 black rhinos. In the Serengeti, we support the Kuru Conservation Dogs programme, strengthening anti-poaching efforts across the ecosystem.
