As many of you will already be aware we have taken the difficult decision to suspend operations at all our camps until June 30, 2020. That said, we are constantly monitoring the situation and look forward to updating you as soon as we have some positive news on welcoming guests back to enjoy our extraordinary Elewana Experience. As passionate travellers ourselves, we understand the importance of taking this time to stay home and save lives.

Whilst we may have been quiet on communication recently, the last few weeks has seen operations working around the clock to safely repatriate over 800 of our employees to ensure that they are free from harm and have adequate medical care. In the interim, we are maintaining a small core staff at all our camps in order to support basic needs. In the coming weeks, we will be implementing creative initiatives that will help our teams, our local communities and help protect the wildlife surrounding our camps during this challenging time, as well as ways to virtually experience Elewana. We look forward to sharing more details with you soon on these programs.

We would also like to take the time to thank all our partners for the hard work that has taken place in rearranging travel arrangements under the most trying of circumstances. In order to stand in solidarity with you, we are actively taking steps to mitigate the impact and spread of COVID-19, by offering extra flexibility and support for all bookings made as per our COVID -19 Policy

Whilst we are undoubtedly experiencing unprecedented and hugely difficult times, it is through working collaboratively and supporting each other that we’ll best weather the storm. We are incredibly grateful for our industry partners’ on-going communication, feedback and efforts to encourage clients to postpone rather than cancel. The positive impact of this on business, people and conservation is far-reaching as you are aware.

We remain committed to supporting our trade partners in every way, and as such, wanted to confirm that 2020 rates and itineraries will be locked in for 2021, hopefully helping in the rescheduling of existing trips, and in securing new bookings once travel opens up again in the coming months.

Please feel free to drop us a line directly if you have any queries.
