Located in the stunning 57,000-acre Loisaba Conservancy, the Loisaba Star Beds were Kenya’s original star beds. The stylish but rustically designed rooms blend seamlessly into the surrounding environment. The location on top of a rocky kopje affords awe inspiring views across the surrounding valley and a permanent waterhole below attracts a plethora of wildlife who visit day and night.

Hand crafted, comfortable four poster beds are built on the base of old land rover chassis so they can be wheeled in and out from the shelter, enabling guests to spend a night sleeping out under the glimmering star filled night sky.

Aside from watching the animal kingdom pass from your bed (which would be tempting day and night) there are a range of actives on offer including game drives, walking safari, e-bike safari, camel safari, fishing, and horse riding plus a visit to the see Loisaba’s anti-poaching unit and the remarkable sniffer dogs.

Dining at the star beds takes place in a peaceful, intimate setting with wonderful views. The food incorporates local fresh ingredients with an ever-changing choice of seasonal products served up in delicious salads, grilled dishes, and creative master pieces by the on-site chef.
