Leche and Altus du Toit expand on seasonal happenings at the Manor over Christmas and the New Year.
What special activities have you laid on for guests over the festive period
We provide a memorable Christmas dinner with gifts for all our guests on the beautiful Manor lawn under the trees and stars, with local entertainment which includes flame eating acrobats from Mto Wa Mbu as a well as a local choir from Karatu, a church of one of our own Butlers named Little John.
For children, we will have Santa Claus come to visit and hand out treats. On New Years eve, we will have the same acrobats and a local band from Arusha take us into the new year, celebrating with our The Manor signature cocktail and champagne.
At The Manor we take Christmas and New Year very seriously and we will be sure to delight each and every one of our guests with the warmth of the festive season, as well as showcasing the seasonal garden produce from which our gardeners take great delight and pride in.
What are your favourite parts of the season
Our all-time favourite part is to see the kids' faces when they first notice Santa Claus and the delight of starting the New Year on a high celebratory note.
How will you and your staff celebrate
At The Manor we celebrated the festive season with what we have dubbed the all-time best staff Christmas party ever! We had a legendary party in our staff village a few nights ago where various staff members took the spotlight in showing off their unique skills, ranging from dancing to DJ-ing, enjoying local dishes like goat, ugali, plantain and piping hot pilipili. This was the true celebration of a successful year end and indicated a wonderful start of the new year to come.
Are you aware of any local traditions to celebrate this time of year
The locals keep it very traditional by attending mass and thereafter celebrating together with friends and family.
