Tarangire Treetops view of Treehouse

The enchanting Tarangire Treetops invites guests to dream high amidst the bows and branches of trees, recalling a certain childhood nostalgia with this ‘palace’ in the sky. Nestled in a private game reserve on the border of Tarangire National Park, the property is centred around the Main Lodge, which itself encases a thousand-year-old baobab tree. Tarangire Treetops boasts 20 treetop rooms, all of which are elevated above the ground and built amidst baobab and marula trees. The rooms are some of the largest to be found in any camp or lodge in East Africa – with a floor space of up to 65 square metres – complete with an exotic double shower en-suite bathroom and inviting furnishings which demonstrate a commitment to local craftsmanship. The ‘up-in-the-air’ experience is enhanced with the open-fronted room design and an expansive, private balcony affording spectacular views across the Tarangire plains, as well as Lake Manyara, Mount Kilimanjaro, and the beautiful Rift Valley wall. Guests can enjoy a lantern-lit dinner at the property’s traditional Masai Boma or dine poolside by candlelight whilst a wealth of wildlife comes to drink at the local watering hole. Activities include morning and evening game drives, informative bush walks and visits to a nearby Maasai village.
