As October drew to an end, our guests at Hotel AfroChic Diani Beach once again had a special moment to witness the arrival of more tiny turtles scrambling out of the sand where they had laid hidden for the last two months. This completes season two, all three nests have now hatched; the first at the end of September, the second at the beginning of October under the cover of darkness and now the last nest, bringing the total this season to approximately 370 turtles.
We are so proud of our partners and all the work we do together to help these beautiful creatures survive and thrive!
